about

Herein lies fragments of a story which we may never know the beginnings or the endings of – we aren’t even really sure about the middle bit either…

~ ALL ABOARD THE AERIAL ESCAPE APPARATUS ~
“… and suddenly they felt the subtle tremble of the floor beneath their feet. As if an ice-cold spike had penetrated their entire being, the realization dawned upon them that the Great Mechanical Tower would not stand for much longer. Glancing at each other momentarily, they needed not exchange any words, for they knew their only option was to run as fast their legs could carry them… to the Aerial Escape Apparatus…”
“… and they took flight, a quiet scene of complete obliteration unfolding in the ever-increasing distance…”
“… all that remains now is to sail across the skies fearlessly in search of new adventures…”

~ WHO’S A WANNABE VILLAIN ~
“… no ship is a ship without a stowaway. This one fancies himself a true rake, complete with impractically fancy clothing and a mouth spouting larger game than he could ever muster. No need to force him off the ship though, even a useless rake has his uses…”

~ REFLECTIVE VIEWS ~
“… when the stillness of the world descends in the darkest hours of the night, every reflection of the moonlight in the rippling ocean could well be a thought flashing across the vast waters of the mind…”

~ DISEMBARKING ~
“… and they three set foot for the first time in a fortnight on solid ground, into a veritable paradise of lush vegetation and sweet birdsong. Why does it feel at moments like there might be someone watching…?”

~ MUSINGS OF A GROOVY GURU ~
“… pulling away a giant fern leaf reveals him, the man of the island, the fellow who’d been keeping a close eye on the newcomers. He perches atop a comically small boulder and smokes a funky flavour of plant, and he is eager to dispense wisdom, regardless of how keen one’s ears may be…”

~ HOMESTEAD SERENITY ~
“… live simply, with a joyful heart and an open mind… this was the last wisdom imparted by the strange man before he vanished in the middle of the night… and this is what they did…”
